You can easily activate the GW500S children's watch with a GPS locator by inserting a SIM card with an active data plan. (SIM card without a SIM lock!!!!)
Control via mobile app
To connect the watch to your phone, you need to install the mobile app "DOWEAR," which is available for free download in the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). After that, you can perform all settings and monitor the GPS location of the device. Tracking via the mobile app is simple and effective. The app allows you to view the current location as well as the movement history over a selected period. You can also check the location history for up to 3 months back.
SOS button for emergencies
In case of an emergency, the watch has an SOS button that is used to communicate with "emergency numbers" that have been pre-configured via the mobile app. When pressed, the device automatically dials the first pre-set phone number; if there is no answer, the watch will dial the next pre-set numbers. You can save up to 10 phone numbers in the device using the mobile app. If the child makes an SOS call but the recipient does not answer, the device will send an SMS with the location.
Two-way communication
The GPS watch can be used like a mobile phone, allowing you to call your child whenever you need, and they will be able to respond directly through the watch. Using the app, you can even specify which phone numbers can contact your child. The watch also allows you to record a short voice message (max 15 seconds) and send it to the mobile app or secretly listen to what is happening around them.
Set movement boundaries
In the mobile app, you will be able to activate the step counter, which allows you to track the number of steps taken, or set the GEO fence function to create a virtual barrier for your child. By entering the latitude and longitude, you can set an area on the map where the device can move. For example, you can limit your child's distance to 100 meters from your home, and if they exceed this distance, you will be notified via a push notification in the mobile app. You can also immediately call the watch to ensure they are safe.
Please note that the GEO fence function works with GPS signal and for proper functioning, the watch must always be in an open space with a view of the sky (not e.g., in a house, passage, etc.) and the location update of the watch set to the most frequent frequency (every minute), which results in faster battery drain.
